Formalwear Alterations That Respect the Garment

Every formal garment is reviewed for construction, fabric, seam allowance, and the fit goals you want to achieve. That assessment shapes the alteration plan and the quote, so the work stays realistic for the garment in front of us.

For suits, we often coordinate jacket and trouser adjustments together so the proportions stay balanced. Sleeve, waist, hem, and shoulder-related changes are considered in relation to the full outfit rather than as isolated fixes.

Balanced adjustments for suits, jackets, trousers, and event wear.

Alteration Atelier handles formalwear with a careful fitting process that starts with inspection and ends with a final check at collection.

Our formalwear fitting process is appointment-led and usually includes one to two fittings, depending on the scope of the work. We aim to preserve original design details where possible and keep the silhouette consistent with the garment’s structure.

After approved tailoring, the finished piece is checked again at collection. Care and pressing notes are provided so you know how to handle the garment after pickup, especially for business wear, weddings, and other formal occasions.
